The Crucifixion of Judge Brett Kavanaugh

I want to begin with one thing that is significant to me that makes me question if Dr. Ford is telling the truth or not.  She provided the names of four witnesses that could confirm her story: 1) Judge Kavanaugh, now you could say he would lie and deny the event happen to protect himself and his family.  What the Judge said was, “This is a completely and totally false allegation. I have never done anything like what the accuser describes”, 2) Mark Judge, who is a friend of Judge Kavanaugh. He stated, “I have no memory of this alleged incident.”  You could say he would lie because he is a friend of Judge Kavanaugh and was suppose to be in the room when the sexual abuse took place, 3) Ms. Leland Ingham Keyser, a close friend of Dr Ford, Ford’s attorney denies they are close friends, she stated, “I do not recall the party, but that she was close friends with Dr. Ford and I believe Dr. Ford’s allegation.” Ford said, she was at the party with her. Now her close friend does not recall the party. Ms. Leland Ingham Keyser might have every reason to lie for Dr. Ford she is a staunch Democrat, has work for the Democrat Party and was married to Bob Beckel, former news commentator for Fox News and represented Democrats and liberals for Fox.  He has been a Democrat strategist for many Democrat candidates.  Something else I found interesting  is she called Dr. Ford after the hearing and expressed how sorry she was that she could not back up Dr. Fords story and 4) Patrick J Smyth who should be reliable, since they have been friends since high school. He stated he did not recall the party and he was not at the party as Dr. Ford stated.  He went on to say he has known Judge Kavanaugh since high school and “I know him to be a person of integrity, a great friend and have never witnessed him exhibit any improper conduct.”  What we end up with is the people Dr. Ford claims were at the party all denying they were there and none of them even recall the party.  The only one’s that know the truth if there was a party or not are Dr. Ford and Judge Kavanaugh.  Another he said, she said.

Dr. Ford does not know when the sexual abuse happened or where it happened.  So why are the Democrats trying to destroy him and his family? Is it because he ruled in his court The Affordable Care Act could not mandate employers to provide contraceptives or is it he ruled in his court a prayer could be said at the beginning of presidential inaugurations or that he ruled that the Supreme Court ruling suggested citizens could own gun or is it the Democrats just want to delay the confirmation hoping they will control the Senate in November and then can block President Trump every time he nominates someone or is it the Republicans blocked Obama’s nominee Judge Merrick Garland for the Supreme Court. The Republicans I am sure retaliated for the Democrats doing the same to them in the Bush Administration, surely the Democrats are not so childish they are doing it because they are upset that Hillary lost the election. If that is the case they are not qualified emotionally to hold office.

The Democrats released a statement that for two weeks Judge Kavanaugh has not produced any evidence that he is innocent.  I must have been asleep in school when they announced the law had been changed in the U.S.  According to Democrats we are guilty until we can prove our innocence.  We can now make claims against anyone and they have to prove we are not telling the truth.  Democrats believe her story because she is 100% sure it was the judge who sexual abused her 35 years ago, but she is not sure of anything else, except, she is sure she drank only ONE beer.  It does not matter that the judge has a letter signed by 65 women who knew him in high school and they stated he had always treated them with dignity and respect.  It does not matter that none of Dr. Fords witnesses can verify what she is saying.  Senator Hirono said on ABC the Judge should have gone to the F.B.I. and requested the investigation himself and because he did not he delayed the hearings, not the Democrats.  The Judge has had that same investigation approximately six times and nothing has ever turned up.  The Democrats are the ones who wanted the investigation, so why did they not pursue an investigation. They waited until it was nearly time to vote in order to play a Hail Mary to stop the vote.  Senator McCaskill of Missouri, had made up her mind before the hearing ever began.   She ask Ms. Mitchell who ask Dr. Ford questions on behalf of the Republicans was it possible that her cross examination may have been flawed because she only had 5-minute intervals to question Dr. Ford.  This is what got mw, she added, “Ms. Mitchell was not use to investigating innocent people and Dr. Ford is innocent.”

Dr. Ford claimed it was her civic duty to come forward to protect America.  The Judge was confirmed to the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in 2006. He has determined over 300 cases in his court. Dr. Ford did not care that for nearly 15 years he has decided the guilt or innocence of people.  She obviously thinks a Federal Judge is not important. I think she would be concerned if she was brought before a Federal Judge and I hope as soon as he is confirmed that happens. Many do not realize that the judge may have to go before the House to be investigated even if he is confirmed in the Senate.

I have not heard the national media or the Democrats say they are interest in the two men who came forward and gave in-depth statements stating they believe they are the two men Dr. Ford is talking about and it was not Judge Kavanaugh or his friend. But, the Democrats and media are interested in two more women that spoke out accusing the judge, a Deborah Ramirez and Julie Swetnick.  Ramirez claims the judge exposed himself to her at a party.  Julie Swetnick claims she helped him spike drinks with drugs so the girls at the parties would be easier to gang rape.  Now we have two women that put other women in harm’s way and did nothing to stop a potential rape.  This really upset me.  When Ms. Swetnick first came out she was ask if it bothered her knowing the Judge and his family were being destroyed.  She replied that it did not bother her because regardless of what the outcome he will still have a good job. The Judge and her ran in different circles.  She went to public school and he went to an upscale private school.  The icing on the cake is in 2000 she was sued for sexually harassing to co-workers.  She was fired.  In addition, they discovered that she had lied on her application when she stated she was a college graduate.  This is the kind of people the Democrats like to associate with, so she should be really comfortable around Democrat politicians.

This is only a question.  Why did the GoFundMe page double in one day after Dr. Fords testimony, $250,000 was reported given early the next morning after she testified?  It now has $412,000 in the account.  Did the Democrats donate?

Now the Democrats are not satisfied with just the F.B.I. investigation on Dr. Fords accusations.  They want to charge him with perjury for statements he has made in the last month.  It looks like the Dr. Ford scam may not work, so they are preparing to get him another way.  They feel he will be against the Democrats after his confirmation.  Anyone who would vote for a Democrat after this is as immoral as the Democrat leaders and politicians.  I hope the voters are not as stupid as Democrat leaders and politician think we are.  They honestly believed we would buy the lies without any evidence and some foolish people have..

I found it interesting how Cory Booker pretended to be interested in sexually abused women.  He himself has sexually abused women and admitted it in his book.  I guess he never thought he would one day be a Senator sitting on this committee.  His own written words came back to bite him in the butt, but he is such a hypocrite, liar and smooth talker he was able to pull it off and he would spear head the Democrats fight for injustices done to women.  His first fight should be with Hillary and Bill Clinton.

In closing I would like to mention two things: 1) How people have attacked the judge for appearing to be angry and Dr. Ford was not.  The judge has every reason to be angry.  Dr. Ford has in his opinion falsely accused him of something he did not do.  Her accusations have led to his family being threaten.  Her accusation has led to death threats on his children.  Her accusations have given fuel to the Democrats to delay his confirmation.  I WOULD BE MAD AS HELL!  2)  The lie Dr. Ford told that she did not fly on airplanes because she was afraid and had a phobia of airplanes and she blames the fear on what Judge Kavanaugh did to her.  We know she flew to visit relatives on the East Coast several times, we know she flew to Hawaii to do her graduate work, we know she flew to go on vacations with her husband many times, we know she was flying somewhere when they gave her the polygraph test in the airport.  Her lawyer said she did not have much time because she was making plane connections.  Now I for one believe, if she would lie about flying, she could possibly lie about being sexually abused.

Corruption in the Catholic Church

The official audit is out and it “ain’t” much better!

The annual audit of reports for sexual abuse by members of the U.S. Roman Catholic clergy was released last Friday and it showed a sharp INCREASE in the number of new claims.

The audit showed that 828 people came forward from July 1, 2014 through June 20, 2015 to say they had been sexually abused by priests, deacons and members of religious groups (yes, that includes cardinals and bishops). I will always believe the cover up was not to protect the Church, but to protect guilty cardinals and bishops.

Six dioceses in the U.S. have filed for bankruptcy because of the sex abuse scandal. Money that could have been used for the poor was paid out to cover the sins of evil priest. I am amazed how the bishops in the Philippines can be so critical of corrupt politicians stealing money from the poor when they are as guilty. As far as I am concerned the funds bishops used to protect evil priest was stealing from the poor.

It is true that the bulk of the cases are old cases changes in the legal system made it possible for old victims to file claims. Catholic parishes and other orders spent $153.6 million on settlements, legal fees and other expenses related to claims of sexual assault over the last one year period.  The Church spent $119.1 million the previous year. The church has paid out BILLIONS of dollars since 2002 because of the sex abuse scandal.

This is what happens when men are looking for a POSITION/TITLE and not a MISSION. Too many priest, bishops, cardinals are not looking for a mission they are looking for the respect a position/title brings. They do not have the character to earn the respect they want. They need the clerical clothes to demand the respect they want. Many young men had a mission when they started, but were corrupted when surrounded by older priest that had lost site of their mission. Their immaturity led them to mismanage their opportunity and away from their mission. Position means nothing if you do not understand your mission. The same is true of politicians.

God did not give us money, talents, blessing, opportunities, etc., in order for us to be important. God gave them to us to accomplish His mission on earth. The position/respect will come if you never lose sight of the mission. Unfortunately too many in the Church want the position, but not the mission.

Celebrating Mass does not take the place of a personal relationship with God. Celebrating Mass does not replace personal time with God in prayer, study and meditation. You do not know it all simply because you finished the obstacle course in the seminary. Knowledge comes with experience and experience comes with living it.

Success is hard to manage and if you cannot manage it you will eventually lose it. You are not fit to be blessed if you cannot manage it. Good managers are successful in good or bad times – they know how to survive. They survive because they know how to treat people. You cannot abuse people and survive!

Sexual abuse among Protestant and Catholic leaders.

Many Protestants are naïve and dishonest when they imply that the pedophilia and sexual abuse problem is unique to the Catholic Church. Protestants can be very arrogant when pointing to Catholics.  The fact that most Protestant ministers are married does not mean they do not commit sexual sins.  There is really no data which demonstrates whether religion plays a role in this phenomenon. We do not know if sexual abuse is higher or lower in fundamentalist, evangelical and other Protestant denominations than the Roman Catholic Church.
There is no denying we Catholics had or probably still have a problem with sexual abuse in our church. I believe what was worse than the abuse itself, if anything could be worse, is the payoffs and cover-ups by the church. I think there was more internal outrage among Catholic to the church hierarchy simply transferring the abuser to another parish. It is hard to accept that the church hierarchy cared more for our priest than our people. Their actions seem to say they cared more for the abuser than the abused.

There is evidence of sexual abuse within fundamentalist, evangelical and other Protestant denominations. Sexual abuse is found throughout society. It is believed one in four girls is sexually abused as a child. The most shocking to me is approximately 1% of girls are abused by their own fathers before puberty.

Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family discussed a crisis among Pastors of non-Catholic churches. He reported that 21% of evangelical/Protestant pastors had had inappropriate sexual contact with members of their congregations. Sixty percent of evangelical pastors, most of whom are married, have a problem with pornography. In a 1984 study, 76% of pastors knew of another evangelical pastor who had sexual intercourse with a member of their congregation. The majority of these cases of improper sexual behavior involved an adult member who consented to the activity, but some were assaults on children and youth. Sin is sin!

Joe Barron, one of the 40 ministers at Prestonwood Baptist Church, one of the largest churches in the United States with 26,000 members, was arrested for solicitation of a minor after driving from the Dallas area to Bryan, Texas, in order to allegedly engage in sexual relations with what he thought to be a 13 year-old girl he had met online. The "girl" turned out to be an undercover law enforcement official.

FBI agents raided Tony Alamo Christian Ministries headquarters as part of a child pornography investigation. This investigation involved allegations of physical abuse, sexual abuse and allegations of polygamy and underage marriage. Reverend Tony Alamo was convicted on ten counts of transporting minors across state lines for sexual purposes, sexual assault and other crimes. He was sentenced to the maximum punishment of 175 years in prison.

Wayne Bent the founder of Lord Our Righteousness Church was convicted of one count of criminal sexual contact of a minor and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was sentenced to 18 years with eight years suspended.
James Truxton was an elder of the First Evangelical Free Church in Fullerton CA. women came forward to accuse Truxton of molesting them when they were children. The church removed Truxton as an elder and revoked his membership. Unfortunately, the accusations came more than 6 years after the abuse events and he could not be prosecuted under the state's statute of limitations. Later another woman came forward and the statute of limitations did not affect the case and he was convicted.

Daniel Vasquez is the pastor of an evangelical church and is being investigated following allegation that he sexually abused 30 boys. Vasquez denies the allegations, and says that the accusations are fabricated by members of his congregation who have been involved in a dispute with him.
Eddie Long is pastor of the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, near Atlanta, GA. It is the largest Baptist megachurch in the U.S. Three male adult members of the church have filed a lawsuit accusing him of coercing them into sexual relationships when they were youths aged 17 or 18 in his congregation. Long is one of the most homophobic black leaders in the religiously based anti-gay movement. A fourth young member of one of Long's churches has accused Long of coercing him into a sexual relationship during a journey that they took to Kenya in 2005. His lawsuit claims that Long convinced him that "... engaging in a sexual relationship with his pastor was a healthy component of his spiritual life."  In other words Reverend Long’s philosophy is ‘do not do as I do, but do as I say’. This isn't the first allegation against a religious leader who has crusaded against gay marriage and homosexuality.

Ted Haggard left New Life Church of Colorado Springs, Colo., in 2006 after a male prostitute said Haggard paid him for sex. Haggard denied the allegations, but later admitted to "sexual immorality" and started a new church in June 2010 after he saw mental counseling and was healed of desiring sex with men. He has made a fortune off his book covering his sexual problems.
Reformation.com lists allegations involving 838 Protestant ministers who have been accused of sexually abusing children: 147 Baptist Minsters, 251 fundamentalist/evangelical ministers, 140 Anglican/Episcopalian Ministers, 38 Lutheran Ministers, 46 Methodist Ministers, 19 Presbyterian Ministers and 197 misc. Church Ministers. I think I have provided enough facts that sexual abuse is NOT unique to the Catholic Church.

I do not think the percentage of abusers is higher among Catholic priests than among Protestant ministers. But, individual priests probably have more victims because they operate longer before they are caught. Some people view celibacy as an unnatural lifestyle (I do for those that do not want to be celebrate). They speculate that a higher percentage of priests are abusers than are Protestant ministers, because of the Catholic Church’s celibacy requirement. The implication is that if celibacy were made optional, then priests could marry and wouldn't abuse children. Most Protestant clergy are free to marry, and most heterosexual ministers and pastors do marry and evidence show that it has not slowed or prevented their sexual abuse problems.
What many do not realize is that there are married Roman Catholic priests. The existence of married priests within the Roman Catholic Church came about when the Episcopal Church decided to ordain females, about 95 Episcopal ministers in the U.S. were so distressed by the idea of sharing the priesthood with women that some converted to Roman Catholicism in order to remain in a purely male priesthood. The church allowed them to remain married. The number has grown over the years.

The Christian mission field is a “magnet” for sexual abusers, said Boz Tchividjian (the grandson of Rev. Billy Graham), a Liberty University law professor, prosecutor and pastor who investigates sexual abuse. When comparing evangelicals to Catholics on abuse response he said, “I think we are worse than Catholics, too many evangelicals have sacrificed the souls of young victims.”
Protestant organizations also suffer from covering up sexual abuse. Protestant Mission agencies especially (where abuse is most prevalent) often don’t report abuse because they fear being barred from working in foreign countries. Abusers will get sent home and might join another agency. What data they have released shows 25 percent that are put out of the mission program for good are repeat cases.

Many religious leaders of all denominations and non-denomination discourage whistle-blowing by condemning it as gossip in order to try to keep people from reporting abuse. People of the church are told to protect the reputation of Jesus. I do not think Jesus wants his reputation protected by committing a crime and encouraging people to lie.
Frankly, I do not understand why the Catholic Church has taken a well-deserved beating in the courts and in the court of public opinion as former altar boys, orphans and ordinary parishioners come forward with appalling stories of sex abuse. Yet, equally horrendous violations by Protestant clergy fail to generate the same level of outrage.

Maybe it is because the Catholic Church is thought of as one monolithic entity. Maybe it is because the Catholic Church is a centralized hierarchy which makes Catholic offenders easier to sue and guarantees deep pockets. The lawsuits in turn generate their own news cycle and bring victims out of the closet. Maybe it is because most Americans are Protestants; the Catholic sex abuse scandal is a story about "them" and Protestant sex abuse is a story about "us," which makes it less gratifying and more uncomfortable. Maybe it is because most Americans find the idea of celibacy peculiar. It makes for a more interesting narrative than a generic story about abuse of authority. I am sure there could be many other reasons such as jealousy, prejudices, ignorance and just plan evil.
Sexual abuse is a crime regardless of who the violator is and should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Sadly, we have a long way to go to solve the problem if a solution is even possible. But, I beg the leaders of all churches, denominations and religious organizations to not cover it up – let justice for those violated occur!
