Give President Trump A Chance

Are you willing to destroy the USA simply because you dislike the current President - That is not loyalty - That is not patriotism - That is not what true Americans do. I tolerated President Obama and it was a difficult pill to swallow, but I put the USA before the person sitting in the Oval Office.

I am nearing eighty years old.  I have reached the point in life where I do not have to appease or satisfy anyone.  I could care less what you think about me or my comments. Do not waste your time trying to get through to me.  I am not going to sugar coat this message to avoid upsetting those that do not agree with me.  I have had enough of those Liberal Democrats and Rino Republicans that are willing to damage the USA simply because they hate President Trump.

Some Liberal Democrats (especially celebrities) threaten to leave the USA for Canada if candidate Trump was elected.  Please leave as you threaten!  We do not need you or want you. Go and destroy some other country as you have tried to do to the USA for decades.

Some of you are so foolish that you are actually hoping President Trump fails in his talks with North Korea.  You would actually prefer the constant threat of North Korea's nuclear power. You would prefer war because most of you idiots have never been to war or served in the USA military.  How foolish you are.

I guess since you favor abortion (murdering babies) war casualties mean nothing to you.  Life means nothing to you. I served in Vietnam and I lost buddies in Vietnam.  You treated me like crap when I returned from Vietnam.  I have no respect for you and I have not forgotten you.

You criticize President Trump for not serving in the military, particularly Vietnam.  Yet, you forget that President Clinton fled to Canada to avoid serving.  You forget that President Bush join the National Guards so he could remain Stateside.  You forget that your "God" President Obama did not serve in any branch of the military and had absolutely no idea how important the military is to protecting the USA. He thought he could buy friendships and failed. I actually think the man thought if the USA was weak others would leave us alone because we could not defend ourselves.

You criticize President Trump for being a womanizer and judge him immoral.  Yet, you forget about the sexual affairs of President Kennedy (swimming nude with sex partner in the White House pool).  You forget about the affairs of President Johnson and his long time affair with his mistress.  You forget about President Eisenhower and his affair with his long time mistress. YOU FORGET about the worse sex abuser of all PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON!

You criticize President Trump for his foul language. I can tell you from my personal experience, at President Johnson's ranch in Texas, no man had or has a filthier mouth than President Johnson.  I was in a group of Texas Young Democrats invited to the ranch for a barbecue, This is just a moment of our endeared President speaking to the photographer, "If you want a Goddamn fucking picture of me and these kids you had better do it fast.  I am not standing out in this fucking sun waiting for you to get your fucking finger out of your fucking ass."  I have never heard President Trump use those words, especially open in front of 18 to 20 years old students.

You try to claim he is ignorant, mentally ill, does not know what he is doing, etc., while he made billions running his business'. He lived in mansions while you may be lucky enough to live in some middle class subdivision.  He flew in his own jet while you may have been able to afford a new Ford every three years.

You find every fault with President Trump's family, but ignore President Carter's daughter smoking pot in the White House or President Bush's girls getting drunk in public, or President Obama's girl's smoking pot and one pulling up her blouse showing her "tits" in public.  Frankly, I think he raised wonderful children.

You criticize First Lady Trump, but thought it was cute when First Lady Obama danced on Ellen's show showing a bulge in the front of her white pants or appeared with President Obama in her beautiful blue dress with a very noticeable bulge in the front.  You made a big deal over none of Mrs. Obama's designers would design clothes for Mrs. Trump.  Why would she want any of Mrs. Obama's designers making her clothes if she was going to appear to have a penis.

I guess you find it easy to ignore the pedophile that was in the White House during Obama's Administration - his name is Vice President Biden.  I suppose I am a dirty old man like you say President Trump is because I remember the days when my niece and I were young and she use to accompany me on function because I was a "priest".  I often bragged about how beautiful she was.  I often touched her with affection (not lust). I have said if I was not her uncle and not a priest I would be trying to seriously date her.  Maybe it is not that either of us are dirty old men, maybe it is you that have a dirty mind and project on us what you think and do.

I have much more to say and I will say more in the upcoming days.  I am thankful that at my last doctor's visit I was told I could die at any time and I most likely do not have another year and two at the most.  I am ready to leave you naysayers behind. I am as sick of you as I am sure you are as sick of me and people like me.  Failing Kidneys, Lungs, Heart, Diabetes cannot take me out of my misery soon enough.  But, in my constant 24 hours of pain I have found that I can withstand the pain caused from my health issues more than I can from all you Liberal Democrats and Rino Republicans fools.

Racism, bias, charity makes some rich and famous and they do not want it to end.

Evil will always be present until the end of time because of mankind’s thirst for power, wealth and fame.  Jesus Christ said the poor will always be among you and they will because it is advantage for many in society, especially the wealthiest of the wealthy.  There will always be some in the middle class that will take satisfaction in knowing there are some in society worse off than them. Do not kid yourself there are those at the upper rung of poverty that delight in others being poorer than them.  It all revolves back to their position in society.  If someone is worse off than you then you automatically have a higher position in society.

It matters not how much money is spent by governments under the pretense of eliminating poverty or other social issues they will never be solved.  The reason being CORRUPTION within government and NGO’S.  Those at the top of these organizations have more interest in their getting more than they are in the ‘HAVE NOTS’ getting more.

God’s Kingdom will never be on earth before Christ returns again due to mankind’s inability to LOVE as God has instructed us to do.  If only we could LOVE as God called us to there would be peace, there would not be starvation, there would be equality, discrimination would not exist, crime would end and paradise would return.  LOVE a simple word and that could be accomplished, but difficult for mankind to do because of our desire for greed, fame and wealth.

It is true  racism is very much alive in America in all sectors of society and it runs rampant among influential black Americans.  It was very much on display in 2013 at the Lincoln Memorial where prominent black activists gathered a few days ahead of the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr's historic "I have a dream" speech in order to advance their careers by pretending to care about the state of race relations in the nation today.

Instead of simply using the opportunity to honor the work of his father in a dignified way, King's son, Martin Luther King III, cheapened it by attempting to stir up racial hatred. He said, “The vision preached by my father a half-century ago was that his four little children would no longer live in a nation where they would judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.  However, sadly, the tears of Trayvon Martin’s mother and father remind us that, the color of one’s skin remains a license to profile, to arrest and to even murder with no regard for the content of one’s character,” He used the occasion to pitch for repeal “stand your ground” self-defense laws, which had no bearing on the Martin case.  I believe both of the young thugs were guilty of crimes and brought the disaster upon themselves.  I believe Trayvon Martin was a trouble maker and I believe George Zimmerman was a trouble maker and both deserved long prison terms.

It is my opinion that it is important to note that Martin Luther King Junior’s four little children did grow up to live a life of advantage.  The only real problems they had in life were the ones they created for themselves by fighting over their father estate – GREED!

These black civil rights leaders have become rich and famous by vilifying white people and the American system, claiming blacks are persecuted and discriminated against, and asserting that there is an invisible conspiracy of white supremacists preventing black people from becoming successful. Not everything they do or say is actually racist in any meaningful sense, but they routinely say things that conservatives would be pilloried for had they said them about people of a different race.  The one thing they always neglect to say is that you have a difficult time making it not only in America, but anywhere in the world if you do not know who your father is or where he is.  They do not talk much about the importance of staying in school and the importance of education.  They become irate when you speak of drug dealing and the high number of black men in prison for crime largely due to illegal drugs.

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are largely race industry profiteers and poverty pimps and are not sincere. They rally against evils that no longer exist and they ignore the evils that do exist.

These leaders for justice and equality quickly forget and never speak of the black-on-white violence that has become increasingly commonplace in recent years, despite the best efforts of the media, politicians, and left-wing activists to ignore it or deny its existence. America's major urban centers, cities like Chicago and Philadelphia, have been plagued by black race riots in recent years. Few people know about these often deadly melees because they rarely get reported.  The black leaders justify blacks killing policemen because of black thugs having pent up frustration over things in history that happen over 100 years ago.

Where is the outrage from the black leaders for 88-year-old World War II veteran Delbert Belton who was  beaten to death by blacks in Spokane or 23-year-old Australian college student Chris Lane who was shot to death in Oklahoma allegedly by young black males out of boredom or the blacks that killed nurse David Santucci in Memphis or the blacks in Minnesota who beat Ray Widstrand so brutally that he suffered permanent brain damage or the blacks in Missouri that hit a hot dog vendor in the head with a hammer or the two young black men in Georgia who killed 13-month-old Antonio West in front of his mother during an attempted robbery .  Two thugs Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman make the news for years following their incident and still yearly celebrations are held for Trayvon Martin, because the Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson’s of the world keep it in the news in order to keep themselves prominent and wealthy.

Members of  today's civil rights establishment aren't interested in solving or even acknowledging the problems of the black community because they profit so handsomely from them. They see turmoil in black neighborhoods as opportunities to promote change and raise funds. Theses same members of civil rights groups seem blissfully ignorant of the fact that America has come a long way since 1963 when Democratic President John F. Kennedy and congressional Democrats worked together to block civil rights legislation.

It is as if the civil rights revolution never happened and Jim Crow is still making the lives of black Americans miserable. The unspoken premise of all these self-serving rants is that America somehow owes blacks for past injustices even though most black Americans today weren't even alive in 1963.

These are the top race baiters in order to advance their personal careers in my opinion and could really care less about the black community:  Al Sharpton, Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Eric Holder, Oprah Winfrey, James Cone, Martin Luther King III, Cornel West, Louis Farrakhan, Alice Walker, Hillary Clinton and Jesse Jackson.  These public figures for the most part do not suffer any consequences for their racism or their cynical use of race for political purposes. If Martin Luther King were alive today, would he defend these people and everything they do?

Do not get me wrong BIAS is a human condition, and American history is rife with prejudice against groups and individuals because of their race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or other differences. The 20th century saw major progress in outlawing discrimination, and most Americans today support integrated schools and neighborhoods. But stereotypes and unequal treatment persist and are often exploited by hate groups –Black, Latino and White hate groups.  In recent years, the FBI has reported between 7,000 and 8,000 hate crime incidents per year in the United States and many more go unreported.

All over the country people are fighting hate, standing up to promote tolerance and inclusion.  There are still good people in the United States and the world.  One person, acting from conscience and love, is able to neutralize bigotry. Imagine, what an entire community, working together, could do. Decent people must take action; if we don’t, hate persists.  Sitting home with your virtue does no good.  Apathy will be interpreted as acceptance.

Hate tears society along racial, ethnic, gender and religious lines. The U.S. Department of Justice warns that hate crimes, more than any other crime, can trigger larger community conflict, civil disturbances and even riots. For all their “patriotic” rhetoric, hate groups are really trying to divide us; their views are fundamentally anti-democratic. True patriots fight hate.  Hate escalates when not addressed and do not kid yourself the Obama, Sharpton’s, Jackson's, Winfrey's, etc., profit from hate and division of the races.

When hate happens, we are faced with two choices: Do nothing, and let hate go unchallenged. Or do something — rise up, speak up and stand up against hate.  When it happens in your community  call the circle around you, including family, neighbors, co-workers, people in your church, synagogue or civic club. Meet informally and discuss the problem – make it known that you want the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharpton to stay away.  It is a community problem and can be solved better in the community without outside interference.

call on local law enforcement officials. Work to create a healthy relationship with local police.  Law enforcement officials can track early warning signs of hate brewing in a community, allowing for a rapid and unified response.  The police are not our enemy as race baiters want us to believe.

Support hate-crime victim in your community, show support.  Let victims know you care.  Surround them with comfort and protection.   Victims of hate crimes feel terribly alone and afraid.  They have been attacked simply for being who they are — their skin color, their ethnicity, their sexual orientation.  Silence amplifies their isolation; it also tacitly condones the act of hate.  Victims need a strong, quick message that they are valued.  Small acts of kindness — a phone call, a letter – can help.

Every act of hatred should be met with an act of love and unity.  Hate must be exposed and denounced.  Denounce hate groups and hate crimes and spread the truth about hate’s threat to a pluralistic society. An informed and unified community is the best defense against hate. Hate purveyors are cowards.  Take hate crimes seriously.

We all grow up with prejudices. Acknowledging them – and working through them  can be a scary and difficult process. It’s also one of the most important steps toward breaking down the walls of silence that allow intolerance to grow. Luckily, we all possess the power to overcome our ignorance and fear, and to influence our children, peers and communities.

The Cowerding of America - Vietnam

The first signs I saw of America no longer being the land of the free and the brave was with the onset of Vietnam.  We engaged in a “CONFLICT” not a war and it was never classified as a war.  I would like to add in this conflict (not war) the U.S. Marine Corps lost five times as many dead as in World War I, three times as many dead as in Korea, and more total killed and wounded than in all of World War II.  We sent young men to die and those men did not even know what they were fighting for.  We did know that we did not have the full support of the U.S. Government or the American people.

We followed orders while celebrities like Jane Fonda called us murders.  Our President Johnson was caught between a rock and a hard place.  He did not want to be the first American President to lose a war (conflict) and yet he did not want the American citizens to turn against him and the Democrat Party.  Our troops were asked to fight in a war which our political leaders in Washington would not let us win.

Draft evasion (dodging) became vogue.  It was more popular to be a coward than to be loyal to the United States Military or the United States Government.  Draft dodgers were usually college-educated sons of the middle class who could no longer defer induction into the Selective Service System - PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON.  Deserters, on the other hand, were predominantly sons of the lower-income and working classes who had been inducted into the armed services directly from high school or who had volunteered, hoping to obtain a skill and broaden their limited horizons.  Then you had the TRUMPS, BUSH, and other wealthy families with influence who kept their boys out of harm ways.  Let us not forget two other prominent draft dodgers Joe Biden and Dick Cheney.

Starting in 1965, Canada became a choice haven for American draft dodgers and deserters. They were not formally classified as refugees, but as immigrants, there is no official estimate of how many draft dodgers and deserters were admitted to Canada during the Vietnam War. One informed estimate puts their number between 30,000 and 40,000.  Whether or not this estimate is accurate, the fact remains that emigration from the United States was high as long as America was involved in the war and maintained compulsory military service; in 1971 and 1972 Canada received more immigrants from the United States than from any other country.

There were more than 300,000 deserters and draft evaders in total, in which 209,517 men illegally resisted the draft while some 100,000 deserted.

We do know that it was the largest number of Americans to leave the country to avoid supporting the United States since the American Revolution.  Draft dodging was so popular that books were written on how to do it.  In 1977 on his first day in office President Jimmy Carter pardon the draft dodgers. It is estimated half of them living in Canada returned to the United States with smiles on their faces, while many families stood over graves of their young boys killed in Vietnam crying.

Distinct from draft resisters, there were also deserters of the American forces who also made their way to Canada.  The deserters have not been pardoned and may still face pro forma arrest, as the case of Allen Abney demonstrated in March 2006.  Another similar case was that of Richard Allen Shields: He had deserted the U.S. Army in Alaska in 1972 after serving a year in Vietnam. Twenty-eight years later, on March 22, 2000, while he attempted to drive a lumber truck across the US-Canada border (in Metaline Falls, Washington) he was arrested by U.S. Customs agents and jailed at Fort Sill.  He was discharged from the Army with an Other Than Honorable discharge in April 2000. Not harsh enough in my opinion.

There were some legal ways to avoid the draft.  Men who had physical or mental problems, men who were married, with children (ended in 1965), attending college or needed at home to support their families might be granted deferments.  Homosexual were exempt and a large number of heterosexual boys claimed to be homosexual to be exempt, while many homosexual hid their sexuality and served proudly with distinction.  It should be said two thirds of the men who fought in Vietnam volunteered for service.  Seventy-three percent of the men that died in Vietnam were volunteers.

In the ‘60s and ‘70s, young people were referred to as the “Love Generation,” partly because of their insistence on sexual freedom, drugs, hippie lifestyle which they proposed as an alternative (“make love, not war”) to the Vietnam conflict.  I cannot help but refer to them as the loser generation and I am a product of the 60’s.  I credit them with contributing to the downfall of America.  Their goal was to change society and they did.  We have not recovered from what they started.  America slowly became a nation of whimpering slaves to FEAR—fear of war, fear of poverty, fear of random terrorism, fear of getting down-sized or fired because of the economy, fear of getting evicted for bad debts and fear of North Korea, China, Russia, Middle East and Muslims in general.

Attorney General Holder said, America ' has become a nation of cowards' on race.  This is one of the rare occasions I agreed with him, but we have become a nation of cowards not just on race, but on just about everything and his boss President Obama was the biggest coward of all.  John McCain’s economic adviser Phil Gramm said that this country is a “nation of whiners”.  But, please do not blame today’s ills on the 55,000 Baby Boomers who died in Vietnam!

There was little to no stigma attached to draft dodgers in the 60’s and there is little to no stigma attached to millennials today.  It seems to be a generational thing where there's no stigma attached to being irresponsible.  Millennials delay getting jobs, their own place to live, in general delay growing up in order to delay responsibilities.  Just as the 60’s love children contributed to the decline of society so will the millennials living in mommy's and daddy's basement.   Some of these parents really don't want their kids to leave because they fear they cannot take care of themselves.  A friend told me a few months ago their 30 year old son cannot move out because he has to pay back his student loans and ask me, “Why are they making him pay it back?  It is so unfair”.  She was a love child!  Every failed generation wants someone to blame.

The media during the Vietnam era and the media today are destroying our nation.  The media defines those that want to serve our country as loser, not heroes.  Regardless of what the gutless media says my heroes are the young men and women who face the issues of war and possible death, and then weigh those concerns against obligations to their country, simple obedience to duty, as they understand it and are willing to suffer loneliness, disease, wounds and the ultimate price death.  Some in media are making cowards of our people!

I love our America, but I will criticize us and not stand by QUIETLY and watch us become a ‘ONCE UPON A TIME GREAT NATION’.  Many students have told me that they are the most well-informed generation in history; really those same students could name all five Simpson family members, but could not name four of the five freedoms in the First Amendment!  Ignorance breeds cowards!

I pray that the thousands of Americans in uniform around the word are not paying attention to the current cycle of news stories in Washington coming out of the Democrats and die heart liberals that are upset that President Trump ordered hitting a Syrian Airbase for using chemical weapons against their own people. It must be demoralizing to see the rest of us acting like such cowards—and making things more dangerous for them.  I know it was for us who served in Vietnam.  Have we forgotten the vows we made when the Twin Towers fell, and the Pentagon burned? That we would do what it takes to avenge our dead?

Democrats/Liberals it is not the end of the world!

One of my good friends, a lifelong Democrat has texted me several times since the election asking if I still thought it was going to be alright.  I think he expresses the fears of many in our country after a stunning upset victory by Donald Trump, a victory that surprised even many of his own supporters.  I was and still am a supporter of President Donald Trump, although I did tell my friend a few days prior to the election that I really did not think he had a chance to win.

Forty-eight percent of voters are happy with the results of the election.  Many felt disenfranchised, fearful or frustrated over the last eight years.  Many, like me, felt we have been headed in the wrong direction as a nation for a long time.  To us this election brings the hope that Donald Trump can in fact, “make America great again.”

The other half of our country are still confused, disappointed, angry or hurt.   I realize many women are disappointed.  I am all for a woman to become President, but I want the right woman and I definitely do not believe Hillary Clinton was the right woman.

There were many, like my friend, who saw the last eight years as a time of positive change and of course they are disappointed.  This is where the divide came between conservatives and liberals. Regardless of the number of times Hannity on Fox News reported all the negatives of the Obama Administration the Liberals did not and will not ever get it. The celebrities will continue to ridicule our elected President instead of getting behind him in an attempt to improve our country.  They are full of criticism and offer no solutions and I understand why.  The Democratic Party has always solicited the support of celebrities and put them on a pedestal while in office.  It has always seem to me that Republicans in general are more willing to live in the real world than a fantasy world.  That is why I left the Democrat Party during the Nixon campaign.

The pundits and politicians will continue to analyze the election results and the Trump Administration, seeking to tell us what they mean in the hours, days and years ahead.  But the questions for me are, Where do we go from here?  How does our nation come together?  And, to my friend’s point, Will it be okay?  It will be okay only if the media returns to journalism and presenting facts instead of personal opinions and the celebrities go back to being overpaid entertainers and stop attempting to be pseudo politicians.

I think it will be okay.  I liked Donald Trump’s acceptance speech and the spirit it conveyed; a lofty vision, a humility, a willingness to work together and a desire to represent all Americans.  I also appreciated Hillary Clinton’s concession speech, which was moving and which reflected, despite the disappointment and pain of loss, a hopefulness and confidence in America’s future.

I am willing to give President Trump a chance and unlike my friend I am not expressing disappointment that he has not performed miracles in less than a month.  Those opposing President Trump were willing to give Obama four more years to correct all his mistakes, but are not willing to give President Trump even his first one hundred days before condemning him.

It will be okay because we live in a democracy whose founding fathers wisely created a system of checks and balances in government that are meant to spread power across the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government. Presidents do not rule by decree, although some like Obama try, the majority seek to lead and influence, and if they are ineffective, they and their party are voted out.  It’s a good system that has served us well for more than two centuries.

It will be okay because, despite his shortcomings and unsettling rhetoric, Donald Trump has strengths that he brings to the presidency.  Strengths that to my knowledge NO president has ever brought to that office in our past.  We need to always remember no candidates are as bad as their opponents paint them, nor as good as they believe themselves to be.  I do believe President Trumps strengths in negotiating deals will serve him well in Washington and perhaps help find win-win solutions to challenging issues we face.

I believe it will be okay because my hope and faith has never been primarily in politicians and political parties, but in Jesus Christ.  You may think that is naïve, but I think it is far more naïve to listen and put faith in the bias media and the celebrities.

I personally am praying today for Donald Trump and his team. I pray that God will enable them, and prepare them and guide them as they prepare to lead our country.  Finally, I’m praying that we as Christians can be instrumental in bringing healing to the divisions in our country today, rather than making the divisions even wider.  We have a mandate to forgive, to love, and also to “speak up for those who cannot speak up for themselves” and “to do justice, and practice loving kindness and walk humbly with God.”  This is a personal opinion I will give all for FREE - many including Christians have become to judgemental of others and have come to believe they have all the answers.

There are challenges and opportunities ahead of us.  But, the sooner we come together as Americans to face the challenges, to seize upon the opportunities and together, find a way to help our country live up to its potential the better it will be for us all.

I honestly believe by 2018 we will experience the worse recession we have ever had since the Great Depression.  I pray not, but the wrong path has been traveled too long for any correction to be made to prevent it in just one year.  It is more important now than ever that we work together as one people and one nation seeking God’s guidance.

Democrat Convention - Played on emotions - little truth

Captain Humayun Khan, a Muslim American was ordered to Iraq years ago, his father wanted to talk to Donald Trump about his being an American Muslim soldier sent to war in a Muslim country. While I have great sympathy for Captain Khan’s parents I feel he distorted what Donald Trump has said. I understand in Captain Khan’s grief he may have taken what Donald Trump said and only heard what he wanted to hear. I also believe like many American's he believed the twisted lies of the media and the Democrat Party.

Captain Khan, 27, died on June 8, 2004, after he told his men to take cover and then tried to stop a suicide bomber outside the gates of his base in Baquba. Captain Khan and his parents are not the Muslim’s Donald Trump is trying to protect the American citizens from. Muslim Americans that are outraged by what Donald Trump has said are not putting the interest and safety of American citizens first and foremost.

Mr. Trump’s call for restrictions (ban) on Muslims entering the country is for the safety of American citizens and that should be the first responsibility of the President of any country. Donald Trump has not called for a permanent ban on Muslims. He only wants to give the U.S. Government time to setup procedure and policies that would help prevent terrorist from entering the United States. He is not for open borders which have proven to be a disaster for European nations and the United States. It appears Hillary Clinton and the Democrat Party are more interested in being politically correct and winning Hispanic votes than protecting American citizens. I question where exactly does their loyalty lie.

Captain Khan’s father said If restrictions on Muslim immigration had been in place decades ago neither he, a lawyer with an advanced degree from Harvard Law School; his wife, Ghazala, who taught Persian at a Pakistani college before raising three boys in the Washington suburbs; their eldest son, Shaharyar, who was a top student at the University of Virginia and a co-founder of a biotechnology company; nor Captain Khan, who posthumously earned the Bronze Star, along with a Purple Heart, for saving the lives of his men, would have been allowed to settle here. That has nothing to do with the present terrorist problems facing the nations of the world. Donald Trump nor any other American would have even considered putting restrictions on Muslims “decades” ago. The time have changed and in the interest security for American citizens our immigration policies must change to meet the new threats.

The Democrats used Captain Khan's father and that is a disgrace. His speech was emotional and worthy to be told, but not at the Democrat National Convention. Captain Khan's father’s story is worth far more than to simply try and win votes for Hillary Clinton.  I am sure his father is very proud of his family, a foreign family that has integrated nicely into the United States.  I am proud of them and the millions of other foreign citizens that have done the same, but that does not mean I am for open borders at a time like this. Hillary nor the Democrat Party cared about his loss they only cared about how it might turn voters against Donald Trump. Like Hillary said in the Congressional hearings "What difference does it make (to her) now".

Mr. Khan criticized Mr. Trump’s statements as UN-American in an article published by Vocativ just a short time back. Please explain to me why it is UN-American to try and protect American’s from Radical Islamic Terrorist.

I found it interesting that Mr. Khan said Hillary’s campaign asked whether he needed speech writing help or any coaching. It seems they were really concerned that he would said the words that advanced their cause not Mr. Khan’s.

I served in Vietnam and as a veteran I found it offensive that Mr. Khan took a swipe at the fact that Donald Trump has never served in the military. I might add Mr. Khan nor his other son have ever served in the American military and I do not think that makes them less of an American than their son that did. Mr. Khan needs to realize we have an all-volunteer military and if Mr. Trump was not drafted during the Vietnam conflict then he simply is like thousands upon thousands of other American boys. If I am not mistaken Hillary Clinton has not served in the U.S. military nor has her husband Bill Clinton.

Mr. Khan met his wife at Punjab University in Lahore, Pakistan. They moved to Dubai, where their two eldest sons were born, then arrived in Houston, renting a $200-a-month apartment. Eventually they settled outside Washington, where Mr. Khan worked at a mortgage company and at law firms. I suppose the $200 a month rent remark he gave to reporters for an apartment in Houston, Texas in 1980 was supposed to denote a difficult time. I am from Houston, Texas and in the 1980’s,  $200 a month would have gotten you a very decent apartment. Better than most lower middle class people in Houston lived in. Two hundred U.S. dollars in 1980 is equal to $579.57 in 2016.  A brand new town-homes on Lake Houston with swimming pools, tennis courts, putting range, parking, near parks, airport, malls and The Woodlands which is and exclusive neighborhood is advertised  today - 4 Bedrooms, 2 baths, $1,090 per month with a $200.00 deposit.  What is difficult for one family is luxury for another.

I think we should also note that their son was killed by a MUSLIM does he not want Americans to try and protect their family from the same danger occurring within the borders of the United States.

Khan said that Hillary Clinton, "called my son the best of America." I would think Donald Trump and most if not all Americans would call him the same. Once again the Democrats got the emotional speech they wanted in an attempt to play upon the emotions of American voters and win votes. They did the same when they used the mother’s that had sons killed by the police. There sons were not the best of America, but the Democrats got the boost they were looking for by using these mothers for their purpose.

"Look for the words 'liberty' and 'equal protection of law,'" Mr. Khan said while standing next to his wife, waving the paperback document of the Constitution vigorously and questioning if Donald Trump had ever read the Constitution. The Constitution is for the protection of United States Citizens, not for aliens that have not even entered the United States. That is the very reason Muslim Islamic Terrorist were held in Guantanamo Bay in order to prevent them from having Constitutional rights.

By the time Mr. Khan speech was over I began to wonder if  ethnicity was more important to him than being a United States citizen or in the least were their some conflict in his mind between ethnicity and United States citizenship.

"Like many immigrants, we came to this country empty-handed," he said, believing that with hard work he could raise his three sons "in a nation where they were free to be themselves and follow their dreams." He and his wife both had impressive University degrees so they were not like most immigrants. He should speak with the illegal aliens crossing the southern borders of the United States and then he would understand what EMPTY-HANDED really means. It also appears the United States has been very good to him and his family.

"Vote for the healer," Mr. Khan said, "not the divider." Obama and Hillary are healers of racist tension. Unfortunately Mr. Khan was not in the United States during the 60’s and cannot see how under Obama and Hillary our country is reverting back to the same racial tension we experience then. He has no comparison to use as to what a healer really is. Obama and Hillary both support the Black Life Matters Organization and that organization is not looking to heal racial tension in the United States.

The lack of action that Obama and Hillary Clinton took in Benghazi to protect our people is enough for me not to vote for her. Her failure to use a secured server is another reason I question her ability to be President. The Democrat Party emails released prior to the convention is enough to tell me that corruption is top to bottom in the Democrat Party. They will lie, cover-up, cheat do anything they can for one vote. What will Donald Trump do I really do not know, but I doubt if it will be more of the same failed policies. If he fails then I hope he fails trying something new.

I am not trying to take anything away from Mr. Khan ‘s grief and sacrifice, but his speech contained a lot of emotions and things stated as facts that are not exactly true. I still stand by what I said earlier he was used by the Democrat Party and the Hillary Clinton campaign.

Even if we lose in November we have won a VICTORY!

The people of the Republican Party have shown the elitist in the party that if we the people pull together we can beat them. I pray there days of ignoring what the people of the party want is over. Trump outsmarted Washington!  I now hope the party returns to its roots.  I also hope that Trump is more PROGRESSIVE than conservative (a moderate). I would love to try a PROGRESSIVE conservative in the White House for a while. I do not want  a PROGRESSIVE LIBERAL Democrat or phony Republican elitist that does not know what he or she is in the White House. GO TRUMP! Win or lose in November I thank you for knocking my party leaders on their rear ends!!!!!!!! It is time politician once again realize the people are in charge of our future not them.

Polls and early primaries mean NOTHING!

What if the polls and early voting mean little to nothing? What if the Republican primaries turn out to be Rubio, Trump, Cruz, Bush and Christi in that order?  What if the Democrat primaries turn out to be Hillary, Sanders and O’Malley in that order? Probably the Democrat primary would not be that much of a surprise, but a lot of political pundits and media are going to be wrong if Rubio get the Republican nomination.

According to polls, Donald Trump is leading the pack on the Republican side. He has 36 percent of the vote in the latest poll, and he's followed by Ted Cruz at around 19 percent and Marco Rubio at around 12 percent. On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton is leading with 48 points over Bernie Sanders' 41 points.

In the 2012 presidential election, Mitt Romney was leading in the polls at this point in the election. In 2008, when we had the last Democratic competition, Clinton was leading over Barack Obama in early January.

I do not have much confidence in polls. How well informed are the people that are being polled?  How many people are willing to talk to a stranger about how they are going to vote? I suspect a lot of times the candidate’s name they give the pollster is the last name they heard on television they do not want to appear stupid so they pull a name out of the air. How many that are polled will actually vote?

This election will be more difficult to call than previous ones because I think voters are tired of the “us” vs “them”. The “us” are ordinary citizens and the “them” are political pundits and media elites who hold the “us” in contempt. I believe the political pundits and media elites see the American people as incapable of reason and stupid.

I have said in earlier post that I thought Marco Rubio at 43 was too young to be president, but I could be wrong. Rubio’s sound bites: “We cannot go back to the leaders and ideas of the past”; “Yesterday is over, and we are never going back”; “You see, we Americans are proud of our history, but our country has always been about the future. And before us now is the opportunity to author the greatest chapter yet in the amazing story of America”; “We can’t be going back to the leaders and ideas of the past”; “We must change the decisions we are making by changing the people who are making them.” This may be what first time voters and millenniums want to hear. His youth may be a factor in helping him win.

I think far too much is being made of the Iowa caucus. Iowa is of little significance to the overall 2016 election. The state has just 3 million of the U.S.’s nearly 319 million residents, so it doesn’t have many votes in the Electoral College that will eventually elect a president from the parties’ nominees. The state makes up only about 1 percent of delegates who will later choose the nominees. The Republican Party has 2,472 delegates nationally; a candidate needs 1,236 to win the nomination. Iowa only has 30 Republican delegates, or 1.2 percent of the U.S. delegates. The media is what makes the Iowa caucus important. The media hype that follows the Iowa caucus can determine which candidates will drop out of the race. The media hype of the Iowa winners also determines future financial support other candidates will get. Another factor that dilutes Iowa’s importance is they allow their delegates to split their vote at the National Convention. They do not have to cast all their votes for one candidate.

Iowa has not been very successful in selecting the right Republican nominee in the past. They supported Rick Santorum in 2012. In 2008 they favored Mike Huckabee. In 1988 they favored Robert Dole. In 1980 they favored Pat Robertson. They supported Mitt Romney over the eventual nominee John McCain. They were successful in 2000 and 1996.

Three reasons the Iowa caucus is usually wrong when it comes to the candidates for the general election are Iowa is predominantly white, strongly religious and their caucus system is complex.

If you cannot rely on the early caucus and primaries or the polls what can you count on? It is simply too early to decide who will be the candidates in the general election or who will win the late primaries. Primary voters and caucus voters generally do not make up their minds until a few days before the event. In the general election voters often do not make up their minds until the last thirty days. Polls are nothing more than tools used by the media to hype their broadcast and mean nothing. Polls can be manipulated depending on how the questions are asks and the cross section of voters contacted. Keep in mind if pollsters use landline telephones that eliminate a lot of young people and if they use the Internet most young people are not going to reply to an Internet poll. Landline and Internet usually get results from older voters. If a candidate like Rubio should be successful in getting out the first time and millennium voters in the general elections the polls could be worthless. We will have a better idea who will be the candidates for the Republican and Democrats in mid-March.

I would like to see the United States do the same thing the Philippines do when it comes to campaign periods. In the U.S. campaigns last two years or more. That is entirely too long. In the Philippines there are campaign laws which limit the campaign period to about six months. No campaigning, no ads except during that open window. Candidates will be disqualified if they campaign early. By the time the actual general election comes around most Americans have grown tired of the process and some are so turned off they just stay home.

I do not think the Trump/FOX debacle will hurt Trump. Republican politicians now know they can challenge FOX and they will. In the past Republicans felt as if they had no other media to go to. Not all the people at FOX support Ms. Kelly. Brit Hume is one who has spoken to others about not supporting her and being upset she had Michael Moore on her show to defend her against Trump. Murdock the owner of FOX has been watching Roger Ailes closely since last summer. He is concerned about Ailes health and having a replacement for him. FOX generates one billion dollars in profit yearly for Murdock. There is a split over the Kelly/Trump issue at FOX and some are upset that Mr. Ailes has allow Kelly to be the spokesperson for FOX.

Do not let the media and political pundits manipulate you with polls.  I have had friends tell me I would have voted for “X”, but I voted for “Y” because the polls showed he or she was going to win and I did not want to waste my vote.

By November Hillary may have criminal charges brought against her, Bernie may be in a retirement home (I am 75 an can say that), Trump may be having mouth surgery to remove his foot, Jeb may have found a miracle vitamin and the world may know what a sneak and snake Cruz is.

The Iran hostages should have been home a long time ago!

Several Republican presidential candidates criticized the Obama administration's decision to swap seven Iranian prisoners for The Washington Post's reporter Jason Rezaian and three other Americans on Saturday and I think they were right in doing so. We are all happy to have the hostages released, but I do not think negotiating with a terrorist country was the way to go about it. Their release should have been unconditional because they were not guilty of any international crime.

Our hostages were released from Iranian custody in exchange for seven Iranians who were in prison for crimes they committed and it does not matter to me if their crimes were violent or not. This exchange further proves that Iran is no friend to the U.S. or its allies and Iran continues to get the upper hand in negotiations with the Obama Administration. Obama should not have been in negotiation with Iran to get a nuclear deal while Iran held innocent American hostages.

It is not true that the hostage release had nothing to do with the private nuclear deal because Iran warned Obama in December if additional sanctions were enforced against Iran the hostage swap was off and the nuclear deal was in trouble. Obama immediately from his vacation in Hawaii began the process to delay any announcement of further sanction against Iran.

Even Hillary Clinton believes the Obama administration should not have thanked Iran for releasing the prisoners (hostages) or for following through on its obligations. Hillary said, “These prisoners (hostages) were held unjustly by a regime that continues to threaten the peace and security of the Middle East.”

The other two Democrat candidates, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley said, “The exchange represented progress in relations between Washington and Tehran.” I guess if you call U.S. weakness progress then we have made great advances during the Obama administration.

Even though I am now a Republican I do not think it is fair for Republican candidates to give all or any credit to President Reagan for the release of American hostages when he was sworn in as President of the United States. I think Iran had tired of the issue and President Carter’s administration had laid all the groundwork for the release of the hostages. I will never believe Iran released the 52 hostages because they feared Reagan being elected. I do not think Iran was even fully aware of who Reagan was or what he stood for at the time. Iran then and now released the hostages because they thought it was in their best interest to do so and fear had nothing to do with it. Iran contacted President Carter in September of 1980 with a proposal to release the hostages. I rather think Iran thought they could deal with the next administration better if they changed the tone of the hostage situation.

Then as now Iran was given money to release the hostages. The agreement that led to the release involved $11 billion to $12 billion ($36 billion in 2015) in Iranian assets that Carter had frozen 10 days after the seizure of the U.S. embassy. The Iranians did fear having to start negotiations over with a new administration and believed that they had gotten most of the benefits they could from holding the hostages. I think the same is true today $150 billion dollars (the exact amount is disputed) in their hands is better than possibly getting nothing if a Republican is elected President. I do not think Iran has any intention of keeping the Obama nuclear deal. The release of hostages military and civilian was all about money and insulting the United States.

I hope not, but I believe Iran will take more U.S. hostages in the near future. Hostages for Iran are like money in the bank – a bargaining chip for getting more concessions from the U.S. and the West. Let us not kid ourselves Iran releases hostages when it is in their best interest and only when it is in their best interest. When they have gotten all the propaganda mileage and concessions they think they can out of a hostage they grow tired of them and release them, but always take another hostage to start the negotiating process all over again.

The only way Iran or any rogue nation will come to the negotiation table and negotiate fairly is by force. The only force they understand is military force. You have to remove their ability to threaten other nations and keep them from ever having the ability to do so in the future. I think Germany and Japan are examples of that. If Japan or Germany would have been allowed to rebuild their military capabilities soon after the war they would have engaged in future nation building conflicts. National pride at any cost is still prominent among some people in both countries, a foolish pride, that is similar to the racist pride among some groups in America.

Obama announced Sunday following the hostages leaving Iran he will allow eleven companies to remain sanctioned from doing business with Iran and the response from Iran on Monday for his doing so should bring him comfort.  On Monday, Iran’s foreign ministry responded that the, “Islamic Republic will respond to these aggravating and propagandistic measures (11 companies sanctioned) by pursuing its missile program stronger than ever before.” Obama did not keep his word not to add additional missile sanctions, in other words he lied to Iran, so how can we now complain about Iran not keeping their word to honor the private nuclear deal.

I must have missed something during the nearly last eight years because Obama said Sunday when speaking of the hostage release, “These things are a reminder of what we can achieve when we lead with strength and with wisdom, with courage and resolve and patience.” I have seen little strength, wisdom, courage or resolve coming from Washington in a long time. I guess I have seen a lot of patience because when you are weak you have no choice but be patient. Obama’s ‘red line’ remark to Syria’s President did not show much resolve or courage when he failed to follow through with his threat. His withdrawal of troops against the advice of his own military advisors did not demonstrate much wisdom in Iraq and Afghanistan. His bowing to the Saudi king showed weakness from the very start of his administration.

If the United States cannot stand up to Iran a country only slightly larger than Alaska how could it stand up to China? The failure of the U.S. to stand up to Iran for the past 37 years has been a failure on the part of both Democrat and Republican politicians. They must take the blame for the monster they created.

Obama and Kerry insist that the private accord with Iran provides no room for its ruling clerics to cheat. I hope they are right! But if Obama lied to Iran about sanctions how do we know he is not lying to us about how secure we are. If they are wrong the world will certainly suffer.

Jeb Bush do yourself, your family and us a favor - Quit!

Jeb Bush has for all practical purposes been running for president for a year. He has traveled all across the country collecting checks, promises of checks, hiring staff, enlisting volunteers and making the usual political promises – a better tomorrow, a return to America’s glory days, more jobs, better economy, protection from our enemies and better education for our children.

I have thought for some time he has less than a ‘snow ball chance in hell’ of getting the Republican nomination.   We were told by the political ‘experts’ he would be the front-runner.  As usual they were wrong.

He entered the latest debate in fifth place. Only one month after Bush formally launched his candidacy he began his decline. Many within the Republican Party have spent millions of dollars trying to turn his campaign around and as we often see in government programs’ spending more money does not always produce good results. The Jeb Bush supporters have spent more money than any other candidate.

The real front runner, much to the dismay of Karl Rowe and the likes, has turned out to be Donald Trump. But, those within the leadership of the party are determined that Trump will not be the nominee and following the debate were making the following statements: Republicans don’t start making decisions until the Feb. 1 Iowa caucuses, which Bush’s camp has never expected to win. Voters in New Hampshire, who cast ballots on Feb. 9, tend to make up their minds at the last minute. Jeb Bush still has time to improve. Early polls aren’t predictive of anything because there is still a long campaign ahead. I think it is time for the Republican Party Bosses to cut their ties to Jeb Bush and get behind a possible winner. In my opinion no one looks more tired than Hillary Clinton than Jeb Bush.

On December 15 Jeb Bush was still saying Trump’s support would end.  The latest national Monmouth University poll released Monday shows Bush to be wrong. According to that poll Trump has the highest support yet, 27 percentage points ahead of his nearest competitor, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. Trump led Cruz 41-14 percent. I admit I am surprised at Trumps continued lead in the polls. I still am not willing to commit to him, but it is time for Jeb Bush to pick up his marbles and go home? Jeb Bush only got 3% support in the last poll.

His campaign staff places some blame on Trump. They claim Trump’s strong numbers in the poll are the results of theatrical performances and not serious politics. They have said Donald Trump is the Kim Kardashian of politics and at some point, people will get over that. I guess it is only fair they try to place blame on someone else – Obama blamed Jeb’s brother, George Bush, for his failures. After all they say turnabout is fair play.

They even say in seven or eight weeks, when voters start picking a commander in chief to lead the country through perilous times, Jeb’s proven track record and his plan to take on ISIS will position him well in the primaries. Like me they still believe in miracles. But, I do not think it is in the cards for Jeb Bush to be granted a miracle in 2016.

Trump labeled Bush “low energy”. Bush had ample opportunities to respond and turn the table on Trump, but he didn’t. Trump suggested Bush’s immigration views were tied to his wife being of Mexican heritage. Bush demanded an apology, but Trump did not apologize. Voter do not like candidates attacking the family members of other candidates, but Bush fail to take advantage of that opportunity. Bush instead set his sights on Rubio; I guess he believed Rubio weaker than Trump. He attacked Rubio, his one-time protégé in Florida, for missing work in the Senate. But Bush’s attack appeared half-hearted, and Rubio got the better of him. The young dog took the bone out of the jaws of the old dog.

The only thing Jeb Bush has accomplished after spending millions of other people’s money is he kept Mitt Romney out of the race. He also has managed to raise 114 million dollars in campaign funds, more than anyone else.

I once had a friend who told me the secret to his success was he kept his church in debt. They gave and worked hard because they had a debt to pay or lose it all. That must be the same philosophy Jeb Bush is using. His well-heeled backers have spent so much money on Jeb’s campaign they cannot afford to walk away and lose the possibility of future political favors.  But, sooner or later they will have to face reality and admit the hole they are throwing their money in is only getting deeper and regardless of how much money they throw in the hole will never be filled.

Former failed Presidential candidate Bob Dole endorsed Bush after the debate in Wisconsin, describing him as the most qualified candidate to run against the Democrats. The endorsement came from the same Bob Dole that ran unsuccessfully against President Bill Clinton in 1996, which resulted in a dramatic loss for the Republican Party. Bush also earned the endorsement following that debate from another failed Republican candidate, former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. Perhaps some other Republican failed candidates will come out after last night’s debate and endorse Jeb Bush.  They say if you want to be a winner surround yourself with a winner, maybe that is why Jeb’s not doing too well he is surrounding himself with too many losers. Maybe winners are afraid to back him!

There is a new generation of Republican politicians Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and others who have been shaped and trained in a new political style. They are men who are not afraid to break with the Republican Party when they do not agree with the Party hardliners or party bosses. Jeb Bush is a member of the old Republican guard and I do not think he understands or is prepared for politics in 2016.

Jeb Bush is one of the nation’s leading champions of Common Core standards. A program that is unpopular with the Republican base. Jeb Bush is committed to centrist causes such as federalized education and legal status for undocumented immigrants all causes that alienate the Republican base. Jeb Bush was on the Lehman Brothers advisory board before that bank collapsed, and he now sits on the Barclay’s board. The Republican Bosses may be for Wall Street, but the Republican base is not fond of banks and bank bailouts. Jeb Bush is friends with Bloomberg, an ex-Republican, and often meets with the Bloomberg Foundation.  Bloomberg and his foundation aggressively campaigns for gun control, shutting down coal-fired power plants and new taxes on junk food all causes the Republican base do not support. If he remains in the competition his competitors are going to hit hard on his association with groups and people who do not support the causes of the Republican base, in fact support the opposite causes of the Republican base.

Jeb Bush keeps saying Donald Trump was a Democrat before he became a Republican (like Reagan)? I would like to ask Jeb Bush why he can be best buds with Bloomberg and not fault him for being a Republican turn Democrat and yet at the same time condemn Trump for seeing the light and changing from Democrat to Republican.

Does Bush honestly think he will escape his 2013 remarks,” Immigrants create far more businesses than native-born Americans,” Jeb Bush made the statement at the Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference. He went on to say “Immigrants are more fertile, and they love their families, and they have more intact families, and they bring a younger population. Immigrants create an engine of economic prosperity,” many took these remark as meaning immigrant families were better than native born American’s families and they create a more robust economic atmosphere than native born Americans. Jeb Bush sounded a little like Obama when he made those statements.

Bush is a moderate and Republicans tend to be swayed by moderates, I suppose Bush was good for Florida, but Bush has a lot of baggage to carry and I just do not think he is strong enough to carry that baggage.

I did not think last night’s debate advanced Jeb Bush. While the rest were interrupting each other to get their points across Jeb Bush for the most part waited patiently until he was called, answered politely and shut up again. He just did not seem to be part of the pack. I like people being polite to each other, but it does not work in election campaigns Mitt Romney taught us that.

I think Jeb Bush lost his last chance to turn things around at last night’s debate. I admit he was better at attacking Trump and a few others than in previous debates, but it was still too little, too late. His opening and closing statements were not strong enough to say the lease.

Bush should step aside now!

The post-debate coverage will likely focus on Trump, Rubio and Cruz and any coverage Jeb Bush gets will probably emphasize his debate flaws.

Bush should have stepped aside before he disgraced himself and his family to bad he did not listen to many of us Republicans.  At least the Bush dynasty may finally be over thank you Jeb Bush.

Obama ignores U.S. Immigration Laws!

Do you remember Obama saying on March 28, 2011, "With respect to the notion that I can just suspend deportations through executive order, that’s just not the case, because there are laws on the books that Congress has passed and I have to enforce them? Congress passes the law not me. The executive branch’s job is to implement those laws. And then the judiciary has to interpret the laws.

There are enough laws on the books by Congress that are very clear in terms of how we have to enforce our immigration system and for me to simply through executive order ignore those congressional mandates would not conform with my appropriate role as President".

Maybe you recall Obama saying on September 28, 2011, "I just have to continue to say, this notion that somehow I can just change the laws unilaterally is just not true. We are doing everything we can administratively. But the fact of the matter is, there are laws on the books that I have to enforce. And I think there’s been a great disservice done to the cause of getting the DREAM Act passed and getting comprehensive immigration passed by perpetrating the notion that somehow, by myself, I can go and do these things. It’s just not true because we live in a democracy. You have to pass bills through the legislature, and then I can sign it. We have to recognize how the system works, and then apply pressure to those places where votes can be gotten and, ultimately, we can get this thing solved. And nobody will be a stronger advocate for making that happen than me."

On November 25, 2013 Obama said, “If, in fact, I could solve all these (immigration) problems without passing them through Congress, I would do so. But we’re also a nation of laws. That's part of our tradition.”

Obama knows the Constitution, he knows what his rightful role in government is, but his pride, arrogance and stubbornness gets in the way of him doing the right thing.
In politically correct terms Obama is good at giving ‘lip service’ to doing the right thing, but to truly be accurate in describing Obama you must call him a liar. Lying is the one area Obama is extremely proficient in and has proven it to the people of the world over and over again.

In a statement announcing his executive amnesty, President Obama reassured the American public that formerly illegal aliens would not qualify for “the same benefits that citizens receive.” How can that be because federal agencies are issuing Social Security numbers to millions of new residents? It’s only a matter of time before it becomes clear that the president’s words were misleading.

Formerly illegal aliens may not qualify for “the same benefits that citizens receive,” but they will likely qualify for tens of billions of dollars’ worth of generous benefits available to U.S. citizens. How much they will receive will soon be made clear.

The Earned Income Tax Credit and the Additional Child Tax Credit will certainly be available to them. This is a benefit designed to help low income 'American' wage earners. The average EITC payment to a family with children is $2,905, according to the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities. The Additional Child Tax Credit works in much the same way is paying an average of $1,800 to qualifying households.

These programs are administered by the Internal Revenue Service as part of the tax code, not as social-welfare programs. The IRS asks only one question as it processes an EITC: Does the credit-seeker have a Social Security number? For the ACTC, the standard is even laxer: Does the credit-seeker have a Social Security number or an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number? The ITIN is the substitute for a Social Security number widely used by illegal aliens. There is nothing standing in the way of illegal aliens abusing the programs.

ACTC already pays huge amounts to illegal aliens holding only ITINs—$4.2 billion in 2010, this figure was released by the Treasury Department’s own inspector general. Once those ITIN holders gain Social Security numbers, it will become even harder to distinguish between authorized resident aliens and illegal aliens.

Obama will not stop illegal aliens from participating in these programs. He wants them to be able to participate in them. The only thing that may slow the growth of these programs is illegal aliens may hesitate to apply for benefits fearing being identified and penalized in some way. If those anxieties are overcome, more than 40 percent of Mexican and Guatemalan born illegal immigrants will qualify for the ACTC, and about one-third of illegal immigrants from El Salvador and Honduras will qualify.

U.S. immigration law still forbids the president to grant residency to aliens likely to become “a public charge.” In other words the aliens allowed into the United States must be able to support themselves. Do you think Obama is enforcing that law, of course not?

If you support refugees being brought to the U.S. believing Obama when he says they will be fully vetted consider this: In April 2015, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services admitted that an illegal alien named Jesus Rangel-Hernandez, a gang member who was slated for deportation until he applied for DACA and was allowed to stay in the U.S., even though he had been charged with four counts of first-degree murder in North Carolina. Hernandez was supposed to have been fully vetted.

Obama promised Americans that those who qualify for his executive orders would meet a set of guidelines meant to keep criminals out of our country. We now know that isn’t true and that the agency tasked with implementing the President’s edict cannot effectively carry out the rules without compromising the safety of Americans. This is one more reason why the president’s habit of governing by edict is a poor replacement for actual law making.

When outgoing Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar, who is of Mexican heritage, formally stepped down from his post in early February 2013, Obama suggested that the Hispanic Cabinet member was more authentically American than the Pilgrims of New England, Obama said, "Salazar’s ancestors were here before the Mayflower set sail. His family did not cross the border, the border crossed them. And that's why, when I needed somebody to lead the Interior Department, I didn't have to look very far." How many more times is Obama going to apologize for Europeans coming to the shores of the U.S. and making it a great country? Obama honestly thinks we should be ashamed of what we have accomplished.

In February 2014, the Obama administration eased restrictions on asylum seekers who had loose ties to terrorist and insurgent groups. Specifically, the new policy allowed some individuals who had provided "limited material support" to terror groups to be considered for entry into the United States. Can anyone explain why anyone with any ties to terrorist or had given any support to terrorist would be allowed to enter the U.S.?

On March 10, 2014 Top administration officials directed 21,000 border patrol officers to retreat whenever illegal immigrants throw rocks at them, and to avoid getting in front of foreign drug-smugglers’ vehicles as they head north with their drug shipments.

The following instructions were issued March 7, 2014, under the signature of Michael Fisher, chief of U.S. Border Patrol,   “Agents shall not discharge firearms in response to thrown or hurled projectiles… agents should obtain a tactical advantage in these situations, such as seeking cover or distancing themselves.”

Agents were also directed to keep their weapons holstered when drug smugglers drive by. Agents can’t use guns against “a moving vehicle fleeing from agents,” according to the instructions. The new rules were issued at the direction of Jeh Johnston, the then head of the Department of Homeland Security. It appears Obama approaches the drug smuggler and illegal alien problems the same way he approached the terrorist problem – like a coward.

In March 2014, the Center for Immigration Studies reported that in 2013, U.S. immigration & Customs Enforcement had 722,000 encounters with potentially deportable aliens, most of who came to ICE's attention after they had been jailed in connection with a local arrest. ICE officials released 530,000 plus back to the streets of the U.S.  Because of current Obama policies that shield most illegal aliens from enforcement of immigration laws. Some of the illegal aliens released back to the streets had previous convictions for homicide, sexual offenses, kidnapping, aggravated assault, stolen vehicles, drugs, drunk or drugged while driving and  flight to escape conviction.

Studies have shown that less than a quarter of illegal aliens who are released from custody while awaiting the outcome of immigration proceedings will show up for immigration court to finish their case. Those who do not show up are put on a meaningless list for trying to escape conviction. They will never be apprehended unless they commit a more horrendous crime and are caught by local authorities.

I see no justification for the release of convicted criminals back into the U.S. communities, when they could have been removed to their home countries. It is a blatant abuse of authority by Obama that leads to public harm. There is no legal justification, for failing to deport tens of thousands of aliens with criminal convictions who have been encountered by an ICE officer.

Please do not forget Kate Steinle a young woman who was walking on a busy pier in San Francisco with her father when there was a single popping sound in the air. She fell to the ground, struck by a bullet, dead. Her accused killer was Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, an illegal alien with seven prior felony convictions. Obama took no action on his own to console the grieving family. I suppose he knew his ignoring our immigration laws made him in some ways responsible for her death.

On May 13, 2014, President Obama told a gathering of law-enforcement officials that they should be pursuing major criminals, and not illegal immigrants (aliens) who were living quietly and peacefully in their districts. Obama said, "You’ve got to stop spending time dealing with somebody who is not causing any trouble other than the fact that they are trying to make a living for their families. That’s just not a good use of our resources. It’s not smart. It doesn’t make sense...."

In my opinion what does not make sense is Obama skirting the laws our legislator pass and he swore to uphold.

Obama is forcing Immigration Judges to tell deportable illegal aliens that the final deportation order they are issuing isn’t actually an impediment to receiving the President’s grants of deferred action. Even though the illegal aliens violated our immigration laws, they are now being advised by the sentencing judge, by Obama’s orders, that they can receive work permits, a social security card, tax benefits, parole, travel documents, and, if the illegal alien is from Central America, the opportunity to bring qualifying family members to the United States at taxpayer expense. And if they are not eligible for deferred action at the time the deportation orders are issued, they should simply sit tight because DHS may issue more policy memorandums expanding eligibility for deferred action and additional benefits.

There are an estimated 900,000 illegal aliens who have received final orders of deportation and have exhausted all appeals, but they are still in the United Sates. Nearly 175,000 of these aliens with final orders are convicted criminals and 167,000 of these criminal aliens remain at large.

We can all sleep well tonight knowing our president is looking after our safety and we know he knows what is best for us. If you believe Emperor Obama has made you safer then you should vote for Queen Hillary. Her administration will be more of the same.
